New Delhi, India: The court of Gaurav Rao,ACMM, Congress leader and Sinkh genocide 1984 accused Jagdish Tyler under section 499/500 Indian Penal Code (IPC) for the defamatory statements made by him against senior lawyer and Aam Party Adovocate Harvinder Singh Phoolka during the LIVE telecast of a program titled”Khabro-Ki-Khabar” and “X-Factor on NDTV channel.
Ms Kamna Vohra Advocate, appearing on behalf of Mr. H.S.Phoolka argued the case on the basis of evidence on record that charges should be framed against Jagdish Tyler and he should face the trial. Tyler pleased not gulty to the charges and claimed trial. The Court has now listed the case on 2nd May 2015 for prosecution evidence.
This complaint case was filed by Mr. H.S. Phoollka in the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Ludhiana which had issued warrants against Tytler. Tytler aaproached Supreme Court for transfer of case claiming that he cannot go to Ludhiana due to threat to his life. The Hon’ble Supreme Cout had transferred the case to Delhi.
